In Module 4 we looked at the different types and functionality of cameras used in IP-based video systems.

In this module, we will be taking a close look at two related topics: lenses and lighting.

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

Describe different types of lenses used on Video Surveillance System cameras.
Apply different types of lens and camera combinations to produce optimum results.
Compare and describe the differences in Focal Length, Field of View, and Depth of Field.
Apply basic light principles to develop detection systems that use both visible and infrared light sources.
